Good Afternoon ladies and grunts,,
I was just sent a picture of the latest die-cast coming out of Dale Earnhardt and John (The Duke) Wayne. Since it has nothing to do with Junior, I am not expecting a lot of taunting posts... Joke Mods,, joke,,,
Being one of the largest collectors of the Earnhardt Family on the East Coast I would like to present a picture of the new die-cast,, "Dale and the Duke" !!

Have a good IP day,,

Well it does look cool. Strange trend however. I thought the Johnny Cash car was cool, and with both men known regards to the color black. But what is this about?
I am starting to suspect there is a profit issue? I hope not.

I didn't see the legends part sorry. Is this gonna be a series? To make profit is understandable. I was saying I hope its not doing this because they are in trouble.

If you are a serious die cast collector of a certain driver, you will buy almost any die cast that comes out of that driver, the company knows it, and the collector knows it. So why stop making a die cast of the driver, even though they are deceased ? I don't have any idea what the cut is that DEI gets off his collectibles, nor do I care, I am too far into it to be missing one of his cars, and the die cast company knows that,
I would imagine the Collector Stores cannot keep Kyle Busch cars on the shelf as good as he is doing, if he continues to do well the KB collector is going to be spending some money down the road, because they will be coming out with every paint scheme he has driven so far and into the future.

With all due respect to Mrs E and family... IMHO it's about Mrs E trying to make a god out of Sr and money. I think plastering his likeness over and on everything is demeaning.
The Petty's lost a young vibrant child just beginning to actually start a great life in a sport he loved so dearly, Adam was cheated out of living a life as his parents and family were cheated from watching their son grow and bloom. You do not see his face plastered everywhere to make a buck. Victory Junction is in his memory and what a classy way to remember their son. Mr H is also quiet and classy as how he honors his sons memory.
I so admire how the Pettys have honored their son but Mrs E does not even come close in the way she honors Dale Sr.
I am not bashing just being honest in expressing my opinion.

I honestly think it's about money.. I hate these companies making cars that never even existed. To tell the truth, I fell for it a few months ago.. I bought a Dale Sr. COT car. Seemed cool when I ordered it, but then when it arrived, reality set in and I realized that the car will never be driven, let alone raced..
Who knows.. Serious collectors will buy just about anything.. ..I guess..
What is with all this negativity? This is a legends series, it's not about Money!!!
Hippie don't let it bother you,, some don't have the money, and some really dislike the man,, its what you wanna do, no one else,,, let them suk eggs, if you wanna buy it and trash it, thats your business.. opinions are like butt cheeks,,, every one has a couple,,

I've been collecting Dale memorabilia since back in the 80's. I've also been collecting his diecast for a long time. But I will not buy any of these fantasy cars. For one thing, this new one is one of the ugliest cars I've seen. But putting that aside, I find if very disappointing that Teresa is doing this, and that's coming from someone who's defended her and stood by her since day one. Why she decided to do this, instead of releasing cars he actually drove, is beyond me. The only reason I can come up with is money. Sure, they're saying it's to "continue the legend." But what part of Dale's legend included John Wayne? To me, there's other ways to do that, without making things up that never happened...
To that end, I try to "continue the legend" in my own little way, every time I get in my Jeep and go anywhere. I won't do it buying these diecast, but that's just me...

Believe me, I'm not trying to discourage anyone if they like this diecast or want to buy it. To each his or her own. It's just something I feel very strongly about, and have since Dale died. I'm probably in the minority about this, and maybe it sounds foolish, but again, that's just me.
