I have Directv HOTPASS and I watch the Dale Jr CH. but the last race made me just a bit sad on my feelings, I will always be a Dale Jr fan but Jr's bad mouth is so hard to hear sometimes ! I wish he knew that some of his fans do care , how he specks to Tony Jr on the Radio. And that I think maybe he forgets we hear everything he says , I know most of you Dale Jr fans don't care what he says on the radio but some of us do ! I wish I could tell Jr how I feel on this but I really think he would not like what I have to say , so I'll just not let it bother me . But I only wish he could tone it down some just a little .

Wish in one hand.....
Too mean? Sorry.

It doesn't bother me much - actually I think it's kind of interesting to hear what the drivers (not limited to Jr!) are really thinking & saying during the race, as opposed to the usual clean-cut interviews they do afterwards.
But I definitely do NOT allow my son to listen to the chatter on the scanner at races, we're tuned to MRN the whole time.

I understand that some don't care for the language, but I think they all get upset when the car is not the way they want it and say things. I also think that they have more important things going on in the car than worrying about watching what they say cause we might hear them. If we start complaining, then they might make it where we can't listen at all. I wouldn't let it bother me too much.

I was letting my daughter listen to Jr at Daytona and then he dropped the f bomb and I was like ok that's enough and took it from her. lol

No driver channel is safe, from what I've heard.... LOL
But I love listening to them when I'm not at the race with the kiddo. Some of the absolute worst language & insults I've heard have been from the 1 team.... maybe it was just a bad day but man, they were tearing into each other something fierce. It was awesome! LOL

Yeah, I find it funny. I luv to listen to them. My hubby is a Harvick fan and he is too funny on the radio. we are always stopping to tell each other what our drivers are saying. Sometimes the radio chatter is better than the race.

yeah Martin and Bono if the car's not right even if it is tend to let the language become as colorful as possible.

Same here...my daughter's 13, so she's pretty much heard the words...but at Daytona in July he was swearing up a storm after the race was over. My daughter just looks at me and says "Wow, he's....mad." LOL!Sep 4 2008 09:25

But as far as the scanner language goes...you have to remember that it's private talk between the driver and crew. We are eavesdropping and really have no right to be offended by their language. I think it's interesting to listen to and like when the play the funny stuff on TV, but otherwise, the fans should have no input to the content of the radio chatter.
ETA: of course, you can still BE offended by their language...I guess I just mean that you have to realize they're going to swear, so choose to listen or not. JMO
